Rate plan configuration for Solidres

Rate plans are how Solidres turns a room type into something a guest can book and pay for. A room type can carry as many rate plans as you need, each with its own price grid, validity period, audience, length-of-stay rules and occupancy rules. Guests see every rate plan that matches their search, side by side, and pick the one they want. This is the feature that sets Solidres apart from simpler booking engines, so this page goes into detail. Read the examples if you prefer to learn from concrete set-ups.

There are two rate plan configuration modes:

• Standard Mode: available out of the box in the free core Solidres package. One price per weekday (Monday to Sunday), for everyone, all year round.
• Advanced Mode: available to Solidres subscribers through the Rate Plan plugin. Unlimited rate plans per room type, each with a date range, customer group, length-of-stay and occupancy rules, and one of five pricing types combined with one of four entry modes:

5. Checklist: my rate plan is not showing

1. Standard Mode

By default Solidres uses Standard Mode, the simplest way to price a room type. Go to Properties → List of room types, open the room type and switch to the Rate plan tab. Under Standard mode you can enter:

• Standard rate title and Standard rate description: shown to guests next to the price.
• Standard rate: one price for each day of the week, in the property's currency. The price is charged per room per night (or per day, see booking type).

A standard rate has no other conditions:

• Customer group: everyone
• Weekdays: one price per day of the week
• Period of validity: unlimited
• Length of stay: only the global Minimum length of stay (Solidres Options → General) applies

And here is the result in the front end when the guest makes a reservation.

2. Advanced Mode

To use Advanced Mode, install and enable the Rate Plan plugin (plg_solidres_rateplan). Downloading it requires an active subscription: https://www.solidres.com/subscribe/levels. After installing, enable the plugin in System → Plugins (type solidres, name Solidres - Rate Plan plugin).

2.1 The rate plan editor

Open a room type and go to the Rate plan tab. With the plugin enabled the tab shows the rate plan editor inline, no more fixed-height frame. The room type must be saved once before rate plans can be added, because rate plans belong to a room type.

The list view shows every rate plan of the room type with its applied period, conditions and status. From here you can:

• Add a new rate plan, or Edit, Enable, Disable and Delete an existing one.
• Clone a rate plan inside the same room type, or Clone to another room type to reuse a whole price grid elsewhere.
• Drag rows to reorder them. The order here is the order guests see in the front end, so put the rate you want to sell first at the top.
• Filter by title, type, customer group or date range when a room type has many rate plans.
• Export all rate plans of the room type to a JSON file and Import them into another room type or another site.
• Expand a row to preview its price grid without opening the editor.

Rate plans whose Valid to date has passed are marked Expired; they are never offered to guests until the period is extended (in the front end a rate plan is excluded as soon as Valid to is no later than today). If the Channel Manager plugin is active, each row also carries a channel badge (synced, pending, not synced or paused) explaining whether that rate plan is pushed to your channels.

2.2 General settings

The left-hand side of the editor holds the settings that describe the rate plan:

• Title: a short name shown to guests, for example "Flexible rate", "Non-refundable" or "3-night Romantic Escape".
• Description: a longer explanation shown to guests, typically the cancellation policy and what is included.
• Type: what the price grid represents. One of the five rate plan types.
• Mode: how prices are entered over time. One of the four rate plan modes. The field is hidden for the two package types, which always hold a single price.
• Valid from / Valid to: the period during which the rate plan can be booked. The guest's whole stay, including the check-out date, must fall inside this period.
• Status: Enabled or Disabled. Disabled rate plans are hidden from guests (and paused as stop-sell on connected channels).
• Customer group: Public makes the rate plan available to every visitor. Selecting a customer group makes it private: only logged-in customers assigned to that group see it, and they see the group's rate plans instead of the public ones. Customers and customer groups are managed under Solidres → Customer. Matching a logged-in user to their customer group in the front end requires the Hub plugin; without it every visitor is served the Public rate plans. Group rate plans are never synced to channel managers.
• Pricing type (only for Rate per person per stay):
  • Fixed (default): every adult and child slot holds an absolute amount.
  • Percent: Adult 1 holds the absolute BASE price; every other adult and every child slot holds a percentage of Adult 1's price for the same day.
• Occupancy restriction type (only for Rate per person per stay):
  • Room type scope (default): the price grid gets one column per adult and per child age range defined on the room type (Max adults, Max children, Child age ranges). The optional Min people / Max people conditions limit the total number of guests per room.
  • Rate plan scope: the rate plan carries its own Min/Max adults and Min/Max children. The grid gets one column per adult up to Max adults; child columns follow the room type's Child age ranges when that is set, otherwise Max children of the rate plan. A search must fit both ranges. Use this to sell the same room with different guest mixes, for example an adults-only rate next to a family rate.

2.3 Conditions

Conditions decide whether a rate plan is offered for a given search. A rate plan that fails any condition is simply not shown; guests never see an error.

• Min nights / Max nights: the length of stay this rate plan accepts. Leave a bound blank to leave it open. For properties with booking type "Per day" the labels read Min day / Max day and the minimum should be at least 1. Packages typically use the same value for both.
• Min people / Max people (Room type scope): the total number of guests per room that this rate plan accepts. We recommend always filling both, for example 1 and the room type's maximum occupancy.
• Min adults / Max adults / Min children / Max children (Rate plan scope): the accepted ranges for adults and children separately. Setting both children bounds to 0 makes the rate plan adults-only.
• Min quantity / Max quantity: the number of rooms that can be booked under this rate plan in one reservation. This does not hide the rate plan; it limits the quantity drop-down guests see next to it, which makes it ideal for group rates ("book 3 rooms or more").
• Checkin limit to: the days of the week on which a stay under this rate plan may start. Select at least one day (select all seven for no restriction). A rate plan with no check-in day selected can never be priced.
• Interval: a fixed step for the length of stay. It only works when both Min nights and Max nights are set. Example: Min nights 7, Max nights 21, Interval 7 lets guests book 7, 14 or 21 nights and nothing in between. In Weekly and Monthly mode the field is read-only.
• Channel Manager ID / Channel Manager custom field: mapping fields used by the Channel Manager plugin. Leave empty unless your channel manager documentation asks for them.

2.4 Rate plan types

Rate per room per stay

The price is for the whole room and does not depend on how many guests occupy it. This is the classic hotel "room rate" and the most common choice. It supports all four modes, and it is the only type that supports per-date rules in Daily mode (min/max length of stay, check-in day and interval for individual dates) as well as Weekly mode.

With Mode = Daily, every date in the validity period gets its own price cell, and each cell can additionally carry:

• Min length of stay / Max length of stay for stays that include that date
• Checkin limit to (weekdays on which a stay may start on that date)
• Interval (length-of-stay step for stays that include that date)

The Quick tool (Daily mode, available once the rate plan has been saved) fills many cells at once: pick a date range, the weekdays to touch and the value to set (price, unoccupied price, min/max length of stay) and press Set. Use it to lay down a season in seconds, then fine-tune individual dates by hand.

Rate per person per stay

The room price is the sum of a price for each booked adult and each booked child. Prices are entered per guest slot (Adult 1, Adult 2, …, Child 1, Child 2, …) and per weekday (7-day week mode) or per date (Daily mode). Only these two modes are supported for this type: the pricing engine does not read Weekly or Monthly grids for per-person rate plans.

The number of adult and child slots depends on the Occupancy restriction type (above). Each child slot also has a from age / to age selector, capped by the child max age. How children are matched to slots is controlled by the Child room cost setting, explained in section 2.7. If you change the room type's occupancy later, revisit the rate plan so that every slot has a price.

With Pricing type = Percent, Adult 1 is the base price and the other slots are percentages: entering 100 for Adult 1 and 60 for Adult 2 charges 160 for two adults. Percentages are applied day by day, so a weekend uplift on Adult 1 automatically flows to the other guests.

Package per room

A package sells a fixed stay for a single, all-in price per room, for example "Double room, 3 nights, breakfast and spa access included". Instead of a grid there is one Price, which is the total for the whole package, not a nightly amount. Set Min nights and Max nights to the package length (for example 3 and 3). Different packages cannot be chained together to cover a longer stay: a stay must fit entirely inside one rate plan.

Optionally, a package can be extended: set Max nights higher than Min nights and fill Price extras, the amount charged for each night beyond the package length, up to Max nights.

Package per person

Same idea as Package per room, but the package price is entered per guest slot: Adult 1, Adult 2, and each child age range. The total is the sum of the prices of the booked guests, charged once for the whole stay. Min and max nights should be equal. Typical use: retreats, courses and event packages where every participant pays.

Rate per room type per stay

This type prices the whole room type (every room in it) as one unit, so guests can book an entire apartment, villa or floor instead of individual rooms. Prices are entered like Rate per room per stay (per weekday, per date or per month) but are charged once per night for all rooms together, not multiplied by the number of rooms. Owners usually use it to offer a discount for taking the whole unit.

In the front end this rate plan is only offered when every room of the room type is free for the requested dates. Instead of a quantity drop-down, guests get a single Reserve button that books all rooms at once. It can live side by side with per-room rate plans on the same room type: guests who want one room use those, guests who want everything use this one.

2.5 Rate plan modes

The mode decides how prices are entered over time. Whatever the mode, Solidres always prices a stay night by night (or day by day): it walks through every night of the stay, looks up that night's price in the grid, then adds taxes, deducts coupons and so on.

• 7-day week: seven prices, Monday to Sunday, repeated for the whole validity period. The quickest way to model a weekend uplift.
• Daily: one price per calendar date inside the validity period, grouped by month. Perfect for seasonal pricing, events and yield management. Rate per room per stay adds per-date rules (min/max length of stay, check-in day, interval). Use the Quick tool to fill ranges.
• Weekly: one price per week. Each month is divided into 4 date ranges by default; enter week from, week to and the price for each range. The nightly price is the weekly price divided by 7, so a 10-night stay costs 10 × (weekly price ÷ 7). Make sure the ranges of a month cover all of its days, do not overlap, and do not cross into the next month (a range that runs into the next month leaves those nights unpriced). The editor accepts Weekly mode for Rate per room per stay only and shows a warning for any other type.
• Monthly: one price per calendar month. The nightly price is the monthly price divided by 30, so a 30-night stay costs exactly the monthly price, and a 31-night stay costs 31/30 of it. Typically combined with a high Min nights for long-term rentals. Available for Rate per room per stay and Rate per room type per stay.

If the property has a Rounding precision set, the ÷7 and ÷30 results are rounded to that precision per night.

2.6 How Solidres selects rate plans for a search

When a guest searches for dates (and optionally rooms, adults and children), Solidres evaluates every rate plan of every room type and keeps the ones that pass all of these checks. Everything that passes is shown; the guest chooses.

1. Status is Enabled and the rate plan is not expired.
2. Validity: Valid from ≤ check-in date and Valid to ≥ check-out date. The whole stay must fit inside one rate plan; two consecutive rate plans are never combined to price one stay.
3. Customer group matches the visitor (Public for anonymous visitors and customers without a group; the customer's own group otherwise).
4. Length of stay is within Min nights / Max nights.
5. Check-in day is one of the Checkin limit to weekdays.
6. Occupancy: the guests requested for a room fit the Min/Max people (Room type scope) or Min/Max adults and Min/Max children (Rate plan scope). When several rooms are searched at once, the rate plan is kept if at least one of them fits.
7. Interval: the length of stay is a multiple of Interval (when set).
8. Per-date rules (Rate per room per stay, Daily mode): the stay respects the highest per-date Min/Max length of stay found among its dates, the check-in date's per-date check-in limit and the per-date interval (see Interval checking type). Per-date check-in limit and interval are only evaluated when at least one date of the stay carries a per-date Min or Max length of stay, so always set one together with them.
9. Availability: enough rooms of the room type are free (all of them for Rate per room type per stay).
10. Finally the price is computed for each night. A night without a price in the grid counts as 0. A rate plan whose total for the stay is 0 is dropped unless Allow free reservation is enabled in Solidres Options → Reservation.

Rate plans are listed in the order set by drag-and-drop in the editor. Before a search, each listed rate plan shows a "Starting from" price taken from the lowest price in its grid; after a search it shows the computed price for the requested stay.

2.7 Adults, children and child pricing

Several settings work together to decide who counts as a child and what a child costs:

• Child max age (Solidres Options → General, default 17, overridable per property in the property's Options): guests up to this age are children. It also caps the age selectors in the rate plan editor.
• Max adults, Max children and Child age ranges on the room type: the first two set the room's capacity, the third sets how many distinct child age ranges you want to price in your rate plans (leave 0 to use one range per child). With Max children = 2 and Child age ranges = 2, a per-person rate plan shows Child 1 and Child 2, each with its own age range and prices.
• Child room cost (Solidres Options → Rate plan, overridable per room type): how the children in a booking are matched to the child slots of the rate plan. See below.
• Single supplement (room type → Options): an extra charge (or a discount when negative), fixed or percent, applied when a room is booked for exactly one adult and no children (Package per room checks only the adult count). Charged per night for per-night types and once for packages.

The three Child room cost methods, with a room type that allows 2 children:

• Per age range (default): define non-overlapping age ranges in the child slots, for example Child 1 = 0 to 5 years, Child 2 = 6 to 17 years. Every child in the booking is charged the slot whose range contains their age, no matter how many children share a range. Example: 10 for ages 0 to 10, 15 for ages 11 to 17; two children aged 4 and 12 cost 10 + 15.
• Per child quantity: child ages are ignored. The first child is charged the Child 1 price, the second child the Child 2 price, and so on. Example: first child 10, second child 15; any two children cost 25.
• Mixed: price by age range, but with a different price for the first, second, … child inside each range. Give several slots the same age range: Child 1 and Child 2 both 0 to 5 (prices 0 and 30), Child 3 and Child 4 both 6 to 17 (prices 20 and 20). Two children aged 3 and 4 cost 0 + 30; a third child aged 9 adds 20. Tip: enter a price of -1 for a range to refuse bookings with children of that age under this rate plan; the rate plan is then hidden from such searches.

With Pricing type = Percent, child slots hold a percentage of Adult 1's price for that day rather than an amount, whatever the child room cost method.

3. Solidres Options → Rate plan

Global settings that affect every rate plan live in Components → Solidres → Options → Rate plan:

• Show frontend rate plan: whether the list of rate plans is rendered under each room type before the guest has searched for dates. Yes shows them straight away, No never shows them without a search, and Only when guest check for availability shows them only in search results. Rate plans are always shown once the guest searches.
• Default rate plan visibility (when the previous option is Yes): Show expands the rate plans by default, Hide collapses them behind a Rates toggle.
• Child room cost: Per age range, Per child quantity or Mixed, as described in section 2.7. Can be overridden per room type (room type → Options → Child room cost, default Use Global).
• Enable unoccupied pricing: adds a second price, the Unoccupied price, to every price cell of Rate per room per stay and Rate per room type per stay rate plans (7-day week and Daily modes). In the front end, after choosing dates, the guest gets one checkbox per night under "Specify the occupancy status during your stay", all ticked by default. A night the guest unticks is charged the unoccupied price instead of the normal price. The editor also shows the field for other types and modes; values entered there are stored but not used by the pricing engine. Use it when guests keep a room across nights they spend elsewhere (a trek, a day trip, a business commute) and you want to charge a reduced "room held" rate for those nights. Rate plans without an unoccupied price charge the normal price for every night.
• Interval checking type: only relevant for Rate per room per stay rate plans in Daily mode where individual dates carry their own Interval. When a stay spans dates with different per-date intervals, this setting decides which one is enforced: Check for maximum interval (default) uses the largest interval found among the dates of the stay, Check for minimum interval uses the smallest. The allowed lengths of stay are then the multiples of that interval, capped by the per-date Max length of stay of the date that carries it.

Related settings elsewhere:

• Child max age: Solidres Options → General, overridable per property.
• Min days book in advance, Max days book in advance and Minimum length of stay: Solidres Options → General. The first two also limit the dates guests can pick in a rate plan's date picker.
• Booking type (Per night / Per day), Price includes tax and Rounding precision before the decimal point: property → Options. Price includes tax decides whether the prices you enter are gross or net.
• Show price with tax (Solidres Options → Reservation): whether guests see prices with tax added.
• Allow free reservation (Solidres Options → Reservation): lets a rate plan whose total is 0 be booked instead of being hidden.
• Single supplement and Child room cost override: room type → Options.

4. Examples

The set-ups below are meant to be copied and adapted. Unless stated otherwise the property is booking-per-night, prices are in the property's currency, and Checkin limit to has all seven days selected. Prices are shown before tax and before coupons.

4.1 Classic hotel: flexible rate plus a non-refundable rate

Goal: sell a Double room at a weekend-uplifted rate with free cancellation, and a cheaper non-refundable rate for stays of 2 nights or more. Guests see both and choose.

Result: a Friday-to-Monday stay (nights of Fri, Sat, Sun) costs 130 + 130 + 110 = 370 on the Flexible rate and 117 + 117 + 99 = 333 on the Non-refundable rate. A single Saturday night shows only the Flexible rate, because the Non-refundable rate requires 2 nights. Put the rate you want to promote first with drag-and-drop.

4.2 Seasonal pricing with event rules (Daily mode + Quick tool)

Goal: a beach hotel with low, mid and high season, a 7-night Saturday-to-Saturday rule in the peak weeks, and a 3-night minimum over New Year.

• Type Rate per room per stay, Mode Daily, Valid from 01-01-2027 to 31-12-2027, Min nights 1, Max nights 28, Min / Max people 1 / 3.
• Save once, then open the Quick tool:
  • Apply from 01-01-2027 to 31-12-2027, all weekdays, price 95 (low season baseline).
  • Apply from 01-05-2027 to 30-06-2027 and from 01-09-2027 to 15-10-2027, all weekdays, price 140 (mid season).
  • Apply from 01-07-2027 to 31-08-2027, all weekdays, price 210; then the same range, Friday and Saturday only, price 240 (high season with weekend uplift).
  • Apply from 15-07-2027 to 15-08-2027, all weekdays, Min LOS 7 (peak weeks).
• By hand, in the cells of 15-07-2027 to 15-08-2027, set Max LOS 21, Checkin limit to = Saturday and Interval = 7. In the cells of 29-12-2027 to 31-12-2027 set Min LOS 3.

Result: in May a guest can book any length from 1 night at 140 per night. In the peak weeks the date picker only allows Saturday check-ins for 7, 14 or 21 nights (the per-date Interval 7, capped by the per-date Max LOS 21). A stay that includes 31 December must be at least 3 nights. All of this is one rate plan, so the guest always sees a single, coherent offer.

4.3 Family resort: per-person pricing with children by age

Goal: a Family room for 2 adults and 2 children where infants are free, children pay a reduced rate and the second adult is cheaper than the first.

• Room type: Max adults 2, Max children 2, Child age ranges 2. Solidres Options → Rate plan → Child room cost = Per age range (the default). Child max age 17.
• Rate plan: Type Rate per person per stay, Mode 7-day week, Pricing type Fixed, Occupancy restriction type Room type scope, Min / Max people 1 / 4.

Result: 2 adults with children aged 4 and 9 pay 60 + 40 + 0 + 20 = 120 on a weekday night and 75 + 50 + 0 + 25 = 150 on a Saturday night. Two children aged 8 and 12 both fall in the 6 to 17 range and pay 20 each. One adult alone pays 60 per weekday night (add a single supplement if you want to charge more for solo occupancy).

4.4 Percent pricing: everything derived from the Adult 1 price

Goal: maintain one nightly price per date and let the other guests follow it automatically: the second adult pays 70%, the first child 50%, the second child 25%, ages ignored.

• Room type: Max adults 2, Max children 2. Child room cost (room type → Options) = Per child quantity.
• Rate plan: Type Rate per person per stay, Mode Daily, Pricing type Percent. Adult 1 cells hold the BASE price (for example 100 on weekdays, 120 on weekends, set with the Quick tool). Adult 2 cells hold 70, Child 1 cells 50, Child 2 cells 25 (percent values; the labels read "Price (%)").

Result: 2 adults and 2 children pay 100 + 70 + 50 + 25 = 245 on a weekday night and 120 + 84 + 60 + 30 = 294 on a weekend night. Change the Adult 1 price of a date and every other guest price on that date follows. Because the child room cost is Per child quantity, the children's ages are not used.

4.5 Mixed child pricing: first child free per age range

Goal: the first child under 6 stays free, the second child under 6 pays 15; children from 6 to 12 pay 20 each; teenagers 13 to 17 are not accepted in this room type under this rate plan.

• Room type: Max children 3, Child age ranges 5. Child room cost = Mixed.
• Rate plan: Type Rate per person per stay, Mode 7-day week. Child slots: Child 1 = 0 to 5 years, price 0; Child 2 = 0 to 5 years, price 15; Child 3 = 6 to 12 years, price 20; Child 4 = 6 to 12 years, price 20; Child 5 = 13 to 17 years, price -1.

Result: children aged 3, 4 and 8 add 0 + 15 + 20 = 35 per night to the adult prices. A search including a 15-year-old does not show this rate plan at all, so offer a second rate plan (for example a per-room rate) if you still want to sell to those families.

4.6 Adults-only rate next to a family rate, plus a single supplement

Goal: the same Superior room is sold as a quiet adults-only retreat with breakfast, and as a standard family rate. Solo travellers pay a 25% supplement.

• Room type → Options: Enable single supplement = Yes, Single supplement value = 25, Single supplement is % = Yes.

Result: a search for 2 adults shows only the Adults-only retreat; a search for 2 adults and 1 child shows only the Family rate. One adult alone on the retreat pays 95 + 25% = 118.75 per night. Because the occupancy is restricted per rate plan, you do not have to touch the room type's own Max adults / Max children.

4.7 Package per room: a 3-night Romantic Escape

Goal: sell a fixed 3-night package (dinner, late check-out, sparkling wine) for a single price, only on weekend check-ins in spring.

• Type Package per room, Title "Romantic Escape, 3 nights", Valid from 01-03-2027 to 31-05-2027.
• Min nights 3, Max nights 3, Min / Max people 2 / 2, Checkin limit to Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
• Price 450 (the total for the package).

Result: the rate plan's date picker only accepts Thursday, Friday or Saturday check-ins with a 3-night stay; the guest pays 450 for the package regardless of which nights they fall on. A 4-night search does not show the package. To allow extending the package, set Max nights 5 and Price extras 120: nights beyond the 3-night package are charged 120 each.

4.8 Package per person: a 2-night yoga weekend

Goal: a weekend course where every participant pays, adults pay full price, children 6 to 17 pay a reduced price, under-6s are not part of the programme.

• Room type: Max adults 2, Max children 1, Child age ranges 1. Child room cost = Per age range.
• Type Package per person, Valid from 01-04-2027 to 31-10-2027, Min nights 2, Max nights 2, Checkin limit to Friday.
• Prices: Adult 1 = 250, Adult 2 = 220, Child 1 (6 to 17 years) = 90.

Result: 2 adults and a 10-year-old pay 250 + 220 + 90 = 560 for the whole weekend. A family with a 4-year-old does not see the package because no child slot covers that age.

4.9 Whole villa or per bedroom: Rate per room type per stay

Goal: "Villa Sol" has 4 bedrooms (4 rooms in one room type). Rent bedrooms individually, or the whole villa at a discount.

Result: for a 3-night stay a guest can take 2 bedrooms at 2 × 3 × 150 = 900, or the whole villa at 3 × 500 = 1500 instead of 4 × 450 = 1800. The whole-villa rate only appears while all 4 bedrooms are free, and booking it reserves all of them with one Reserve button.

4.10 Holiday rental: weekly pricing, Saturday changeover

Goal: a cottage rented by the week, Saturday to Saturday, 1 to 3 weeks, with a different weekly price per season.

• Type Rate per room per stay, Mode Weekly, Valid from 05-06-2027 to 25-09-2027.
• Min nights 7, Max nights 21, Interval 7, Checkin limit to Saturday, Min / Max people 1 / 6.
• For each month, fill the 4 date ranges so that together they cover the whole month without overlapping and without crossing into the next month, for example June: 01-06 to 07-06 = 1,050; 08-06 to 14-06 = 1,050; 15-06 to 21-06 = 1,400; 22-06 to 30-06 = 1,400. July and August ranges = 1,750 each, September ranges = 1,050.

Result: the date picker only allows Saturday check-ins for 7, 14 or 21 nights. Each night is priced at its range's weekly price ÷ 7: a week starting Saturday 19-06 costs 7 × (1,400 ÷ 7) = 1,400, and a fortnight starting Saturday 26-06 costs 5 nights in June at 200 plus 9 nights in July at 250, that is 1,000 + 2,250 = 3,250.

4.11 Long-term stay: monthly pricing

Goal: serviced apartments rented for a month or longer at a flat monthly rate, with a slightly lower rate in winter.

• Type Rate per room per stay (or Rate per room type per stay for a whole apartment unit), Mode Monthly, Valid from 01-01-2027 to 31-12-2027.
• Min nights 30, Max nights 180, Min / Max people 1 / 3.
• Monthly prices: January and February 2,400; March to December 3,000.

Result: each night is charged the monthly price ÷ 30. A 30-night stay in May costs exactly 3,000; a full May (31 nights) costs 3,100; a stay from 15 February to 15 March (28 nights) costs 14 × 80 + 14 × 100 = 2,520.

4.12 Unoccupied pricing: keep the room while you are away

Goal: a mountain lodge whose guests leave for a two-day trek mid-stay. They keep their room and luggage but pay a reduced rate for the nights they are away.

• Solidres Options → Rate plan → Enable unoccupied pricing = Yes.
• Type Rate per room per stay, Mode 7-day week. Every weekday cell: Price 100, Unoccupied price 40.

Result: after choosing a 5-night stay the guest sees five checkboxes, one per night, all ticked. Unticking nights 3 and 4 gives 3 × 100 + 2 × 40 = 380 instead of 500. The chosen occupancy status is stored with the reservation. Rate plans that leave the unoccupied price empty behave as before.

4.13 Per-date intervals and the Interval checking type

Goal: the same Daily-mode rate plan sells 3-night blocks in shoulder season and 7-night blocks in high season. Some stays straddle both.

• Type Rate per room per stay, Mode Daily, Min nights 3, Max nights 21. In every June cell: Interval 3, Max LOS 21. In every July cell: Interval 7, Max LOS 21.

Result: a stay entirely in June must be 3, 6, 9, … nights; entirely in July 7, 14 or 21 nights. For a stay from 28 June into July the dates carry two different intervals (3 and 7). With Interval checking type = Check for maximum interval (default) the stricter 7-night step wins, so the guest must book 7, 14 or 21 nights. With Check for minimum interval the 3-night step applies instead. Choose the behaviour that matches your house rules once, globally.

4.14 Corporate or member rates with customer groups

Goal: give contracted companies a private rate 15% below the public flexible rate.

• Create a customer group "Corporate" (Solidres → Customer groups) and assign the company's customer accounts to it (requires the Hub plugin for customer accounts).
• Clone the public Flexible rate, set Customer group = Corporate, lower every price by 15% (Quick tool in Daily mode, or edit the seven cells in 7-day week mode).

Result: anonymous visitors and customers without a group see the public rate plans. A logged-in Corporate customer sees the Corporate rate plans instead, so clone every public rate you want them to keep. Group rate plans are private and are never pushed to channel managers.

4.15 Group rate with a minimum number of rooms

Goal: a discounted rate for groups that book at least 3 rooms of the same type, without hiding the normal rate.

• Clone the Flexible rate as "Group rate, 3+ rooms", lower the prices, and set Min quantity 3, Max quantity 10 (the field caps at the number of rooms in the room type).

Result: both rate plans are listed. Next to the group rate the quantity drop-down only allows 3 rooms or more; the normal rate keeps offering 1 or 2 rooms. Guests booking 4 rooms pick the group rate and pay the discounted price for every room.

4.16 Day rental: booking type "Per day"

Goal: a meeting room rented by the day, where a booking from 1 March to 2 March means two full days.

• Property → Options → Booking type = Per day.
• Type Rate per room per stay, Mode 7-day week. The condition fields now read Min day / Max day: set Min day 1, Max day 5. Price 300 Monday to Friday, 450 Saturday and Sunday.

Result: a booking from Monday 1 March to Tuesday 2 March is charged 2 days: 300 + 300 = 600. The same rate plan on a per-night property would charge a single night.

5. Checklist: my rate plan is not showing

Guests never see why a rate plan was excluded. When one is missing from the front end, run through this list against the search you tried:

• The Rate Plan (or Complex Tariff) plugin is enabled, and the rate plan's Status is Enabled.
• Valid from is on or before the check-in date and Valid to is on or after the check-out date. A stay that ends the day after Valid to does not match.
• The length of stay is within Min / Max nights and, if set, a multiple of Interval (which needs both Min and Max nights).
• At least one weekday is selected in Checkin limit to, and the check-in date falls on one of them.
• The searched adults and children fit Min / Max people or Min / Max adults / children. Fill both bounds rather than leaving them empty.
• Every night of the stay has a price: in Daily mode every date of the stay has a value, in Weekly mode the ranges of each month cover all of its days without crossing into the next month, in Monthly mode the month has a price. Nights without a price are charged 0, and a stay whose total is 0 is hidden unless Allow free reservation is enabled.
• Daily mode, Rate per room per stay: the per-date Min / Max length of stay and per-date check-in limits of the dates in the stay allow it.
• The rate plan's Customer group matches the visitor: Public for anonymous visitors, the customer's own group for logged-in customers with a group.
• Per-person rate plans: every adult and child slot the search needs has a price; after changing the room type's occupancy, re-save the rate plan. A child slot priced -1 (Mixed mode) hides the rate plan for children of that age.
• Rate per room type per stay: all rooms of the room type must be free for the dates.
• The global Min days book in advance / Max days book in advance (Solidres Options → General) allow the dates.
• Expired rate plans (Valid to in the past) are hidden; extend the period instead of creating a copy if you want to keep the history.

Rate plans of type Rate per room per stay and Rate per person per stay without a customer group are the only ones synced to channel managers; disabling a synced rate plan pauses it on the channels (stop sell) until it is re-enabled.
