Hub reports, Conversion tracking and Joomla updates for every add-on: the releases for Solidres 4.5.0

Alongside Solidres 4.5.0 come 36 releases of add-ons, modules and the Lumina template. Hub partners get the new reports for their own properties, two new plugins arrive (Reports and Conversion tracking), the Channel Manager drops MyAllocator and takes in the Inventory grid, and Stripe works on Joomla 6. Above all, every Solidres add-on now updates through Joomla’s own updater.

Every add-on now updates through Joomla

Until now, only the packages and Lumina could be updated from Joomla, and only once the Download ID had been pasted into each update site by hand. Most plugins and modules had no update path at all: a new version meant a trip to your solidres.com account and a manual install, so many sites ran versions long since fixed.

From this release, every plugin, module and package Solidres ships declares an update stream. With Solidres 4.5.0, the Download ID you enter once in Solidres Options reaches all of them, so their updates appear in System → Update with the rest of your site. Extensions that had no stream before need to be installed once by hand, from your account, to get there:

How each release reaches your site
How to update Releases
From System → Update Hub, Experience, Feedback, iCal and Channel Manager packages; Lumina
Install once from your account, then from System → Update Currency and Camera packages; Clocks; ACL, Advanced Extra, Custom Field, Dashboard, Discount, Flex Search, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Limit Booking, Load Module, Nano Gallery, QR Code, Rate Plan, Reservation Code, SMS and Stream; Stripe, Stripe for Experience, PayPal and Offline; the Map, Tabs, Vegas Slideshow and Splide Slideshow modules; the dompdf library
New: install from your account Reports and Conversion tracking

On a Solidres older than 4.5.0, the key has to be entered in System → Update Sites instead, or arrives with the update to 4.5.0.

Two new plugins

Reports 1.0.0

Solidres 4.5.0 brings a Reports screen with three reports counted night by night. The Reports plugin builds on it. Compare with sets any report beside the previous period or the same period last year, and colours each change by whether it is good news. Break down by splits the rows by period, property or room type. Booking sources gains cancellation rate and lead time, and six more reports join:

  • Production: bookings under the day they were made, with room nights booked, revenue, ADR, average stay and lead time, then the same bookings by lead time and length of stay.
  • Cancellations: cancelled bookings under the day they were cancelled, with the nights and revenue lost and the notice given, by source and by notice.
  • Payments: money taken, under the day it was taken, by payment method, with what is still waiting for confirmation.
  • Balances due: what guests in house and to come still owe as of today, by how soon they arrive.
  • Guests: bookings by country, returning guests, the ten guests bringing the most revenue, language and device.
  • Rate plans and coupons: what each rate plan sold, and the same by coupon.
The Performance report with the Reports plugin: six more reports in the report bar, Compare with set to Previous period and Break down by set to Room type, headline figures with their change, a chart with outlined bars for the previous period, and a table giving each room type's figures with the previous period's value and the change under each one

With Hub 2.4.0, partners get these reports too, for their own properties.

Conversion tracking 1.0.0

Conversion tracking tells your analytics and advertising tools that a booking was made: once per new booking, never on a reload of the confirmation page, for an amendment or for a payment that failed. It replaces the Google Analytics, Google Ads and Facebook plugins, which counted a booking again on every reload, and copies their IDs when it is installed.

  • Connectors that need only an ID: Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Advertising, TikTok, Matomo, Plausible, Umami and Fathom, with the hotel campaign fields Google, Meta, Microsoft and TikTok read.
  • Google Tag Manager and anything else: a GA4 purchase on the data layer, a browser event for your own scripts, and custom code with booking tokens.
  • Per property: a property or an experience can add its own IDs, so each owner’s ad account sees its own bookings.
  • Consent: each script can wait for your consent tool, with Cookiebot, CookieConsent, n3t Cookie Consent, Klaro or any tool that unblocks scripts by an attribute.
  • No personal data: the booking’s code, stay and amounts, never the guest’s name or contact details.
The Google tab of the Conversion tracking options, next to tabs for Meta Pixel, Microsoft Advertising, TikTok, Matomo, Plausible, Umami, Fathom and custom code: fields for GA4 measurement IDs and Google Ads conversions, switches for hotel campaign fields, hotel remarketing and loading the Google tag, and the value sent to GA4, revenue before tax, and to Google Ads, the total the guest pays

The values change from the old plugins: analytics tools get the revenue before tax, as the Revenue report counts it, and the ad platforms the total the guest pays. If your site also loads one of these tools through Google Tag Manager, use either that or the connector, not both. The documentation explains each setting: how to configure conversion tracking in Solidres.

Hub 2.4.0

  • Reports for partners: a Reports item in the partner dashboard opens the reports of Solidres 4.5.0, and the Reports plugin’s when it is installed, for the properties the partner owns or staffs, with CSV export. The figures are the administrator’s own. With the ACL plugin, the Reports permission decides who sees them.
  • Choose what partners see: Ignored property fields in Solidres Options now hides the fields you choose from the partner’s property form, and the new Ignored room type fields does the same for room types. Both list the form’s fields by tab, and a tab whose fields are all hidden disappears.
  • Saves keep what partners cannot see: a partner’s save used to wipe every setting their form did not carry, from each payment method’s settings to a room type’s child pricing, which reset to the site-wide rule and changed the room’s prices. Hidden settings now keep their values.
  • Room type copies: a partner’s Save as Copy of a room type gets rooms of its own and copies the rates and rate plans, instead of taking the original’s rooms.
  • Translated search: with Speedy Translate, the free-text search and the Advanced Search module find properties by their translated names and addresses.
  • Commission: experience bookings create their partner’s commission again; since the Joomla 6 versions they created none.
  • The embed form moves to Solidres: it is now Solidres 4.5.0’s booking form, free on every site. A code pasted on a website from the Hub stops working with Hub 2.4.0: replace it with the new code from Solidres → System → Booking form.

Experience 2.3.0

  • Translated locations: with Speedy Translate, the location search finds experiences by their translated base and end locations.
  • Deleting and copying: deleting an experience works again and keeps the extras other experiences offer. Save as Copy gives the copy its own time slots; it used to move the original’s slots, and their bookings, to the copy.
  • In the Hub: partners can publish, unpublish and trash their experiences again.
  • Email and voucher logo: the confirmation email and the PDF voucher leave the logo out when the experience has none, instead of showing a broken image.
  • Links stay on your site: links that forward a visitor follow only addresses on your site.

Channel Manager 4.2.0

  • MyAllocator removed: MyAllocator support ended on 1 October 2026. A site still set to it is moved to the Solidres Channel Manager on update.
  • Beds24 ends on 15 November 2026: the Channel Manager now says so wherever Beds24 is set up. Nothing stops on the day itself, but a Solidres or Channel Manager update released after it no longer supports Beds24, so plan your move before then.
  • Inventory joins the package: the Inventory grid installs, updates and uninstalls with the Channel Manager, as Inventory 4.2.0. Install the package over the Inventory plugin you have.
  • Trashed room types leave the channels: trashing or archiving a room type takes it off the channels, as deleting it does. A trashed room type used to stay on them and count towards your plan’s room limit.

Two more packages: Currency and Camera

Currency 2.1.0 and Camera 2.1.0 are now Joomla packages, like the Hub and iCal before them. Currency’s exchange rate task plugin, which the plugin used to install behind Joomla’s back and which never received updates, now installs, updates and uninstalls with it. The Camera Slideshow plugin and module do the same. Install each package over what you have; your settings, rates and module positions are kept.

Payments

  • Stripe 2.0.0: the Stripe payment plugin for Joomla 6 and Solidres 4. Stripe 1.0.1 and earlier were made for Solidres 3 and stop the booking page from loading on Solidres 4. Install 2.0.0 over the version you have; your settings are kept. Stripe Connect onboarding works again, for an administrator or the property’s partner only.
  • Stripe for Experience 2.1.0: Stripe Connect works on an experience’s payment settings, and a booking paid through it no longer fails.
  • PayPal 2.0.1: a security release. A payment is recorded only on the booking its PayPal order was made for, and a pending capture leaves the booking pending.

Dashboard, Front Desk and Clocks

  • Dashboard 1.1.0: every widget takes its figures from the new Reports engine, over one property and one period for the whole page, and links to its report. That fixes figures that were wrong: revenue filed under the check-in date, RevPAR worked out from checkout dates, currencies added together, and last month finding nothing in January.
  • Front Desk 1.1.0: the reservation details show the note the guest left when booking, and the today strip counts as the new home page tiles do.
  • Clocks 1.0.0: the administrator clocks module, rewritten for Joomla 6. Each clock follows its city’s time zone, daylight saving time included, where 0.1.x moved clocks by the daylight saving time of whoever was looking. Your clocks are kept.

Smaller releases

What changed in the smaller releases
Release What changed
iCal 3.1.1 The iCal URL ends in .ics, so Airbnb accepts it as it is. Links already given out keep working.
Rate Plan 1.1.3 The editor fits a phone. With Speedy Translate, the title and description tabs send what you type under the names Speedy Translate saves.
Custom Field 2.0.2 Field titles in emails and PDFs come in the guest’s language with Speedy Translate too.
Flex Search 1.0.3 Results price rate plans again; since its Joomla 6 version it priced the standard tariff only.
ACL 1.0.2 Enforces the new Reports permission and the permissions of the tourist tax screens.
Feedback 2.1.1 Security: only the guest who made a booking can review it.
Discount 1.0.3, Limit Booking 2.0.3 Security: the owner check of their partner forms is fixed.
SMS 1.0.2 A partner saving a property no longer clears its SMS settings.
Nano Gallery 2.0.1 Follows the template’s light or dark mode, and prints light.
Advanced Extra 1.0.2 With the Modern date picker, an extra’s available dates use the inline calendar.
Map 1.0.1 Markers use the icon format Google Maps supports instead of a deprecated one.
Lumina 1.1.2 The Hub’s Reports screen takes Lumina’s colours, a site without a logo or title shows its name in the header, and on a booking site the header links back to the main website instead of showing the menu.
Splide Slideshow 1.0.0 First release as a download of its own: a slideshow of a property’s, an experience’s or a folder’s images.
Housekeeping 2.0.3, Stream 2.0.4, Load Module 1.0.1, Reservation Code 1.0.1, QR Code 1.0.1, Offline 1.0.1, Tabs 2.0.1, Vegas Slideshow 1.0.1, dompdf 1.0.2 The update stream, and for several, translations in all 25 languages or updated bundled libraries.

Security

Several of these releases carry security fixes, and we recommend updating:

  • Bookings made without an account: together with Solidres 4.5.0, Hub 2.4.0, Feedback 2.1.1, Limit Booking 2.0.3 and Discount 1.0.3 stop people who did not make such a booking from acting on it.
  • Hub partner form: partners can no longer set the fields only an administrator sets, such as the site’s default property or property approval (Hub 2.4.0).
  • Forwarding links: experience pages no longer forward visitors to other sites (Experience 2.3.0).
  • Payments: PayPal 2.0.1 matches each payment to its booking, and Stripe 2.0.0 and Stripe for Experience 2.1.0 lock Stripe Connect’s onboarding to administrators and the owning partner.

Before you update

  • Update Solidres first. Hub 2.4.0, Experience 2.3.0, Custom Field 2.0.2, Dashboard 1.1.0, Front Desk 1.1.0, Reports and Conversion tracking need Solidres 4.5.0. On a multilingual site, update Hub, Experience and Custom Field together with Solidres.
  • Reports permission: with the ACL plugin, update it to 1.0.2 and grant the Reports permission to the groups, partners included, that should see reports.
  • Ignored property fields: values set in the old option keep working; review the option once after updating the Hub.
  • Embed form codes: replace any code pasted on a website from the Hub’s embed form with the new one from Solidres → System → Booking form. Hub 2.4.0 removes the script the old code loads.
  • Conversion tracking: check the IDs it copied, then uninstall the old Google Analytics, Google Ads and Facebook plugins.
  • Template overrides: layouts changed in the Hub (partner navigation, property and room type forms), Experience (the administrator’s experience form, the confirmation email and the voucher) and Dashboard (the widgets). The System page flags any override that needs updating.

How to get them

Update Solidres to 4.5.0 first. The Hub, Experience, Feedback, iCal and Channel Manager packages and Lumina then update from System → Update. Everything else is in your solidres.com account: install each one once over the version you have, and from then on it updates from Joomla too. The full changelog for each release ships with it.
