We’d like to share some latest news regarding the development status of Solidres project:
1) Solidres v0.8.1: this is a maintenance release of 0.8.0x series and it should be released within this month.
2) Luxuria template: we are working to bring Luxuria template up to date with the latest version of Solidres.
3) Solidres v0.9.0: we are going to work on it right after v0.8.1 is delivered.
4) Solidres for WordPress: we’ve put significant work on this project and it is going very fast, you can find some screenshots below:
When it reaches the beta phase, we will open it for public download and testing.

After 02 beta releases, we are glad to announce that Solidres 0.8.0 Stable is now ready for public download. Adora – a brand new responsive Joomla template, Advanced Extra plugin, Discount plugin, Offline payment plugin, Load Module plugin are the new names join in the Solidres’s family. All users are encouraged to upgrade to enjoy new features, enhancements, more security and stability.

December, the last month of 2014 , we are sure that you are super busy with your holiday and new year plan. We are too!
For us, nothing is more excited to celebrating upcoming holidays and new year by working on a brand new template (Adora) and introduce new feature (Dashboard) for our Statistics plugin.
Adora and Dashboard feature will be released with the stable version of 0.8.0 (currently in the first beta). When will Solidres 0.8.0 become stable? It depends a lot on your helps, if you are a subscribers, please download and give it a try, then let us know your feedback via our forum or support ticket system.

We’d like to announce the availability of Solidres 0.8.0 Beta and other updates for modules / plugins, this Beta release is available for subscribers only.
Please note that this release is for testing purpose, it must be installed in a Joomla site where no previous Solidres versions are installed. The sample data in this release is also temporarily disabled, it will be re-enabled when 0.8.0 stable is released.

Solidres 0.8.0 has reached its 85% development milestone with nearly 20 bug fixes (not included some fixes that we backported into 0.7.1 and 0.7.2) and 30 new features/enhancements. At this moment there are two pending new features which we are working to complete: Customer Control Panel and Discount. The new Discount feature will allow asset owner to specify flexible discount rules like:
- Discounting on the number of booked rooms,
- Discounting on the number of days booked in advance,
- Discounting on the room type’s availability.
- Discounting on the number of booked nights.
Last but not least, in addition to Solidres 0.8.0 version, there will be a lot of updates for our modules/plugins/templates. Exciting months ahead, please check out blog regularly for latest news or subscribe to our mailing list to get major updates via email.

We’d like to show the first preview of our upcoming Offline credit card payment plugin. This plugin is useful when you only want to collect credit card info (not process/capture it) and store it for manual processing later. This new plugin will be compatible with our upcoming 0.8.0 release.

We’ve added a new Tour feature for our live demo, Luxuria (Bundle + Hub) is the first template that implemented this feature. It helps improving the overall user experience with our live demo. At this moment the Tour is applied for home page and reservation page only.

According to Joomla official website, Joomla 2.5 will reach its end of life on Dec 31, 2014, that means all Joomla 2.5 websites will not receive any updates including security updates. If your website still runs Joomla 2.5, make sure that you upgrade it as soon as possible. If you are planning to start a new Joomla site, make sure that you choose Joomla 3 to avoid unnecessary upgrade later.
You should be careful when choosing a 3rd extensions to install into your Joomla site, avoid all Joomla 2.5 compatible only extensions: there is no point to choose them, we’ve seen a lot of users who stuck with Joomla 2.5 because of some 3rd extension developers do not upgrade their extensions for Joomla 3.

As requested by many users, we are working on a front end customer dashboard, this feature allows your customers to manage their reservations (changing dates, cancel reservation) and their profile from front end. Below is a screenshot of the current development branch.
This feature will be compatible with Solidres 0.8+, Solidres 0.8 is also in development, we will share more info about them in later posts.
