What the Solidres Channel Manager does
Your Joomla site is the only system you run
Your property, your room types and your rate plans are created in the channel manager for you, straight from Solidres. You never re-type your inventory anywhere else, and there is no vendor dashboard to log into. The only thing you still do by hand is pick which channels you want to sell on — and that happens inside your Joomla administrator too.
Two-way sync, without you lifting a finger
Change a price, take a booking, cancel one, block a room for maintenance — Solidres works out exactly which dates are affected and sends only those to your channels. In the other direction, a booking made on a channel lands in Solidres within seconds as a normal reservation, with the guest, the dates, the rooms and the per-night prices the channel sent.
Solidres stays the master of your inventory
Availability is calculated from your real rooms, minus confirmed reservations and blocked dates — so your own website and every channel are always selling the same rooms. Alongside availability and nightly rates, Solidres sends minimum stay, maximum stay and stop-sell, and pushes 500 days of both the moment a room type goes live.
Nothing is ever silently dropped
If a channel booking arrives for dates you no longer have free, Solidres still saves it — as a cancelled reservation with a note explaining why — so you can see the overbooking and deal with it. Front Desk compares your Solidres numbers against what your channels currently hold, so a mismatch is visible immediately, and the activity log records every sync in both directions.
Your channel accounts stay yours
You connect your own Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, Agoda or Vrbo accounts, and the guest relationship stays with you. We take no commission on any booking — what a channel charges is between you and that channel. Your reservations, your guests and your data stay in your own Joomla database, handled by plugin code you can read: the Solidres plugins are 100% open source, with no encoding.
Honest about the state it is in
A status badge on your properties and room types tells you whether syncing is healthy, needs attention soon, or has stopped. If your subscription lapses, nothing is destroyed: your channel connections and mappings stay exactly as they are, and incoming channel bookings are held for you and delivered as soon as you renew.
Close your channels on the dates you would fill anyway
On peak dates — a festival, a conference, high season — every OTA booking costs you commission on a room that would have sold regardless. Channel restrictions let you stop sell those dates on your channels, or shape stays with closed to arrival and closed to departure, per rate plan — while your own website keeps taking bookings, commission-free. Restrictions are pushed to your channels like any other update, and reopening the dates is one click.
Your whole season in one screen
Every plan includes the Inventory grid: availability, nightly rates, stay restrictions and stop-sell flags laid out per day, in one spreadsheet-style screen inside Joomla — exactly as your channels see them. Edit daily-mode rate plans straight in the grid, or bulk-update whole date ranges across room types and rate plans, and the changes sync out like any other update. No more hopping between rate plan screens to prepare a season.
Plans and pricing
One subscription per property, priced by the number of rooms you actually sync. Only room types you switch on for syncing count towards the limit — a room type you keep off your channels is off your bill too.
How the billing works
- Prices are in US dollars, per property, and the figure in the circle is the monthly equivalent. You are charged the annual amount once — CM Standard is $65/month, billed annually at $650.
- No automatic renewal. There is no subscription profile on your payment account that keeps charging you. We email you before your subscription ends and you renew when you decide to.
- Each property you connect needs its own subscription. If you run three properties on one Solidres site, you need three.
- Sync stops when a subscription lapses, but nothing is deleted — see the FAQ below.
- Your first Channel Manager order is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Every plan includes
- Automatic set-up of your property, room types and rate plans
- Availability, nightly rates, minimum and maximum stay
- Channel restrictions — stop sell, closed to arrival and departure
- 500 days of availability and rates, pushed automatically
- Channel bookings delivered to your site within seconds
- Modifications and cancellations applied automatically
- Overbookings recorded, never silently dropped
- The Inventory grid — a whole season of availability, rates and restrictions in one screen

- Unlimited bookings, with no commission and no per-booking fee
- Unlimited support tickets
- Channel management, connection status and channel restrictions inside Joomla
- Activity log and Front Desk channel comparison, through the plugins in your Solidres subscription
- 100% open-source plugins — no encoding, your data stays yours
Where each piece comes from
The Solidres Channel Manager runs on top of Solidres, so it needs both a Solidres subscription and a Channel Manager subscription — the same shape as running MyAllocator or Beds24, except that here you have one vendor instead of two.
| What it is | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| The connection service — syncing to your channels and delivering channel bookings | Your Channel Manager subscription |
| Channel Manager plugin — connect the property, manage channels, channel restrictions | Your Channel Manager subscription |
| Inventory plugin — the spreadsheet-style grid for a whole season | Your Channel Manager subscription |
| Rate Plan plugin — the prices and stay lengths sent to your channels | Your Solidres subscription (any level) |
| Limit Booking plugin — blocked dates, and availability editing in the Inventory grid | Your Solidres subscription (any level) |
| Front Desk and Dashboard plugins — the channel comparison and the sync activity log | Your Solidres subscription (any level) |
NOTE Already running Solidres on a subscription? Then you have everything on the lower half of that table — add a Channel Manager subscription and you are ready to connect.
Getting started
- Subscribe to the plan that matches your room count — and to Solidres itself if you are not already a subscriber — then copy your Download ID from your solidres.com account.
- Install the Channel Manager, Inventory, Rate Plan and Limit Booking plugins, set the Channel Manager's provider to Solidres Channel Manager, and add the three scheduled tasks that keep the sync running.
- Connect your property with one click, then switch syncing on for each room type you want to sell online.
- Map your channels in the channel management screen, run the first full sync, and you are live.
Every step is written out, with screenshots, in How to configure Solidres Channel Manager. Most properties are connected and syncing the same afternoon; individual channels can take one to two weeks to go live on the channel's own side.
How it compares with our MyAllocator and Beds24 integrations
Solidres has connected to MyAllocator and Beds24 for years, and both integrations keep working today. Beds24 stays supported; the MyAllocator integration is deprecated and will be removed in a future Solidres release, so a new setup should choose the Solidres Channel Manager or Beds24. The difference is where the work happens:
| Solidres Channel Manager | MyAllocator / Beds24 | |
|---|---|---|
| Extra account to open | None | Required |
| Property, room types and rate plans | Created automatically from Solidres | Re-created by hand in the vendor dashboard |
| Mapping IDs | Assigned automatically | Copied over by hand |
| Where you manage channels | Inside Joomla | In the vendor dashboard |
| Who you contact for help | Solidres, for the whole chain | Solidres or the vendor, depending on the problem |
| Billing | One vendor — your Solidres subscription and your Channel Manager subscription, both from us | Two vendors — your Solidres subscription, plus the channel manager's own bill |
| Long-term support | Our own service, developed alongside Solidres | Beds24 supported; MyAllocator deprecated and scheduled for removal |
There is no automatic migration between providers yet: moving to the Solidres Channel Manager means disconnecting from your current one and mapping your channels again.
What you need
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Joomla site with Solidres 4.2.0 or newer
- A Solidres subscription — any level. It carries the Rate Plan and Limit Booking plugins, which is where the prices, stay lengths and blocked dates sent to your channels come from
- The Channel Manager and Inventory plugins, included with your Channel Manager subscription
- A working cron job for Joomla's Task Scheduler (our cron guide walks through it)
- A site reachable from the internet, so channel bookings can be delivered to it
- A complete property address with map coordinates — channels will not accept a property without them
- Your own accounts with the channels you want to sell on
Frequently asked questions
1. Do I need a Solidres subscription as well?
Yes — any level will do. Your Channel Manager subscription covers the connection service and includes the Channel Manager and Inventory plugin downloads. What it sends to your channels, though, is built in Solidres: nightly prices and stay lengths come from the Rate Plan plugin and blocked dates from Limit Booking, and both are part of a Solidres subscription. Without a rate plan, availability syncs but no price ever reaches a channel. It is the same shape as running MyAllocator or Beds24 — a Solidres subscription for the booking engine, plus a subscription for the channel connection — except that both come from us. See Where each piece comes from above.
2. Do I need an account with another channel manager?
No. That is the point of it. There is no second dashboard to log into and no second vendor to pay — your Joomla administrator is the whole system, and everything you buy for it comes from us.
3. Do I need accounts with the channels?
Yes. Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, Agoda, Vrbo and the rest are your own accounts and your own contracts, and their commission is between you and them. You connect each one in the channel management screen inside Joomla.
4. Which channels can I connect?
The major OTAs — Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, Agoda and Vrbo — plus a long list of regional and niche channels. The full list is shown in the channel management screen. If one specific channel is the reason you are buying, ask us before you subscribe and we will confirm it.
5. Which rooms count towards my plan's limit?
Only the rooms in room types you have switched on for syncing. Room types you leave switched off are not on your channels and do not count.
6. What if I go over my room limit?
Syncing keeps working for a 14-day grace period and the property's Channel Manager tab tells you what happened. Upgrade your plan, or switch syncing off for a room type until you are back under the limit.
7. Can I change plan later?
Yes. Upgrade when you add rooms; nothing is re-mapped and your channels keep selling throughout. Use Refresh subscription status on the property to pick up the new plan immediately.
8. What happens when my subscription expires?
Availability and rate updates pause, and incoming channel bookings are held for you rather than lost — they are delivered as soon as you renew. Your channel connections and mappings are kept, so renewing resumes syncing without any re-mapping. Nothing is deleted from your Joomla site, ever.
9. I have several properties on one site. How does that work?
One subscription per property, each on the plan that matches that property's room count. They all run from the same Joomla site and the same Download ID.
10. Why annual and not monthly?
An annual one-off keeps the price down and means no subscription profile quietly charging your card every month. You are never locked in for a second year: if you do not renew, it simply ends.
11. Can I get a refund?
Yes. Your first Channel Manager order is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee, no reason needed. See the Channel Manager refund policy for the details.
12. I already use MyAllocator or Beds24. Can I migrate?
Both keep working today, so nothing breaks under you. Beds24 stays supported and you can stay on it as long as you like. MyAllocator is deprecated, though — it will be removed in a future Solidres release, so if you are on it, plan the move to the Solidres Channel Manager at a time that suits you rather than leaving it to the last minute. Either way there is no automatic migration yet: switching means disconnecting from your current provider and setting your channels up again. Plan a quiet week for it.
13. Do you take a commission on my bookings?
No. No commission, no per-booking fee and no cap on how many bookings you receive. Your Channel Manager subscription is the whole cost of the channel connection, however much business comes through it — what each channel charges you is a separate matter between you and that channel.
14. Is a real cron job required?
Strongly recommended. Joomla's built-in lazy scheduling runs only one due task per page load, which is too slow for channel syncing. A one-line cron job on your server runs all three tasks every minute — see our cron guide.
15. Are the Channel Manager plugins open source?
Yes. Everything installed on your Joomla site — the Channel Manager plugin and the Inventory plugin — is open source like the rest of Solidres: GPL, no encoding, every line there for you to read and change. Your reservations and your guests stay in your own database, handled by code you can audit. What your subscription pays for is the connection service we operate for you between your site and the OTAs.
16. I do not have a PayPal account. How can I pay?
PayPal lets you pay by credit card without a PayPal account. On the PayPal checkout page, use the "Don't have a PayPal account" option and enter your card details there. Creating an account is offered but not required.
17. As a subscriber, how many support tickets can I open?
Unlimited. We do not limit questions or tickets, and Channel Manager problems are ours to chase down the whole chain.
Next steps
New to Solidres?
Solidres is the open-source booking engine the Channel Manager plugs into. Try the free edition first to see whether it fits your property — then subscribe, which is what brings the Rate Plan and Limit Booking plugins the Channel Manager needs, along with the rest of the premium plugins, the templates and support.
