Integrate coupon code field in reservation process

We get a few customers complaining that they couldn't find the coupon code field to get their discount. It's generally because, once they have entered the dates in the availability module and go to the results page, there seems to be an anchor of sorts which puts the coupon field off screen above the main search results. Do you understand what I mean?

I am wondering if it's possible to integrate the coupon into the reservation process, on the customer details form maybe - select payment option and have the opportunity to enter the coupon code. This seems to be a fairly standard thing in other systems, and would reduce the chance of this field being missed.

Failing that, maybe moving the anchor up, or the coupon code module down to below "Select your room type...", so that it's visible when landing on the page?
I'm using the Infinity template, so I don't know if this is applicable to other templates or not.
