Wordpress: Plugin install failed (Destination folder already exists) was created by pedros
What should I do when this happens?
Installing Plugin from uploaded file: solidres-complextariff.0.3.1.zip

Destination folder already exists. /home/spba/public_html/wp-content/plugins/solidres-complextariff/
Plugin install failed.
Return to Plugin Installer

to answer my own question...
I renamed the solidres-complextariff folder and I was able to install the updated plugin.

Hi,
In WordPress, to upgrade existing plugins manually (uploading zip fle) please rename it first before uploading the zip file. WordPress does not require this for upgrading via their plugin directory.
In Joomla, it does not require that for both upgrading via JED and via manual method.
