Restaurant management system question, booking limits

Having set up table areas with tables (max seats allocated to all total 62 covers at any one time), turn times set also I've made test bookings which are set to confirmed in admin and when I reach the max 62 seats I can still make bookings for the same time with as many seats as I like.

Is the booking system supposed to not take more bookings or am I doing something wrong?

Also can I make it so when online bookings are made they automatically set as confirmed.

Fantastic component apart from this though except for lack of documentation.
