Issue with Solidres iCal Web Cron URL on Multilanguage Joomla Site was created by rebellicatm
Dear Solidres Support,
I am currently using the Solidres iCal plugin on a multilanguage Joomla website that uses subfolder URLs for languages (e.g., /pt/, /en/). The Web Cron URL generated by the plugin is:
www.mydomain.com/cli/ical.php?cronToken=MYTOKEN
However, when accessing this URL, the site automatically redirects to the language subfolder:
www.mydomain.com/pt/cli/ical.php?cronToken=MYTOKEN
which causes a 404 error as this path does not exist in the multilanguage context.
I tried creating .htaccess rewrite rules to remove the language subfolder prefix from the /cli/ical.php URL, but it did not resolve the issue.
Additionally, there is no CLI script named ical.php in the Joomla root /cli folder, only the joomla.php CLI script, so I cannot execute the sync via PHP CLI.
Could you please advise:
What is the correct way to execute the iCal synchronization automatically on a multilanguage Joomla site using Solidres?
Is there an official Web Cron URL that works with subfolder multilanguage sites?
Is there a recommended CLI script or alternative method to run the synchronization via server cron jobs?
I appreciate your help to clarify the proper configuration or workarounds for this setup.
Thank you in advance,
Jose
