Category association

I am using a multilingual Adora template.
When trying to associate an asset category to another category, the Association tab shows no category to select from.
The association tab is blank as you can see in the attached image.
I did create 2 categories with different language selected.
Also, I need to associate assets together, so that when changing the site language it would go to the same hotel or asset translation.
I also cannot find a language option inside asset's page.
