changing custom field title was created by sjp
Hello Vietvh,
Is it possible to change a custom field like for example parking into food and drinks by using the language string override? This instead of deleting parking custom field and adding a new custom field for food and drinks. If this is possible is it needed to change the constants for parking or not?
Thanks for your help!
Best regards,
Sandra

Hi Sandra,
Yes it is possible, you can create a new language override, then search for "Parking" (search for value), then change the text to "Food and drinks" as you needed.

Hi Vietvh,
So the constant for parking can remain the same when I change the value into something completely different? Is it possible to add a new constant with the Joomla language override or not?
Best regards,
Sandra

Hi,
Yes, the Joomla language override feature only override the value, not the key therefore the key is kept intact.
Sure you can create new constant with it. Then you can use the new constant in Solidres by editing the appropriate files.

Hi Sandra,
Just let us know where you want to put your new language string, we will tell you exact file that need to be edited.
In general, Solidres use 2 main language files
1. For backend (English): /administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_solidres.ini
2. For frontend (English): /language/en-GB/en-GB.com_solidres.ini
If you are using Hub, you also have this language file: /administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.plg_solidres_hub.ini
