Solidres 4.0 update causes PHP errors

Hi all, wondering if anyone else has had this issue before and knows of a quick fix.
When attempting to update to Solidres 4.0, I get a seemingly serious PHP error that totally bricks my site(see attached images). This is the 3rd time I've gotten it after attempting to update from Solidres 3.4, and it's the same error each time. After the first attempt, I increased the max memory allocation and max upload size within PHP settings, but results are alwyas the same(near instant failure after I click the update button). I've also tried downloading/uploading the update pkg file manually, but again, same thing happens. My site is running on PHP 8.4.
