Migrating Solidres data to other site was created by sorensen
We are preparing a major overhaul of our site and I hope to be able to keep at least some of the data on the production system in connection with the upgrade.

What we have done so far is

1) taken a backup of the live site using AKEEBA
2) installed the backup on a different domain, but with same table names
3) worked over the changes to the site.

We are now going to move the new version of the site, and the plan is to do 1) and 2) in the opposite direction.

Now, even if we by purpose has done this in our quiet period it would of course be convenient to be able to move at least part of the SR data by other means than manual entry.

In our case it is mainly Limit Booking and Tariff Data that are "big", but of course it would be fine to move all SR data.

Can anyone suggest a neat way of doing this, probably using phpMyAdmin?

We are using SR 0.9.3 (we deliberately left a SR upgrade out to finish before New Year)

Regards, Martin

Hi,

We'd not recommend you to partly migrate your data because it'd break the data integrity, when something goes wrong it'd be very hard to debug.

Would it be possible to move all the Solidres data (but not the data relating to other parts of the site)?

Hi,

Solidres tables have many references to Joomla tables like #__assets (for ACL), #__users, #__schemas... therefore it is risky to just move the Solidres tables only.
