Can I use Speedy Translate only to help translate article, nothing else?

I create multilingual websites for a long time now (From Joomla 1.5), living in Quebec, Canada, french and english is always required.
I like the core Joomla multilingual system and I am not interested to work otherwise.

When I see your components, I realize that it will be fantastic to have the ability to translate articles directly in Joomla as I already use Google translate to do a first rapid translation that I refine after.

My normal way to work is:
1— Create the article in one language with all formatting, images and all
2— Copy this article to the second language and create the association (Joomla)
3— Go in Google translate and refine the translation
4— Insert the refined translation in the formatted article

It will be great to be able to do the same thing, but using Google translate directly in Joomla, it will save a lot of work.
The new method will be:
1— Create the article in one language with all formatting, images and all
2— Copy this article to the second language and create the association (Joomla)
3— Google translate the article directly in Joomla
4— Refined the translation

Is this possible to do that without using another Language switch module than the core Joomla?

In your use case, Speedy Translate is useful when you can edit the original article and other associated articles in the same single screen.

In the background, nothing will be changed, but in the UI, you will find it a lot easier and more convenient to work with all translations in the same single screen at the same time.
