Problem with Template?

I've just installed the free version of Solidres to do an evaluation of 4 reservations extensions, for a client. They also use some of the latest Joomla51 templates. As we are in Australia, I've created a new currency (AUD) and set up my asset and some rooms according to the tutorials. I've also set compatibility to YES. I have 3 problems. Room photos show one under the other, same size. The room rate is displayed as AUDnan (I have entered values for each day). When i book a room, the descriptions (number of guests, children etc etc), i.e. the text in the various fields and drop-downs, show only the top 20% of the words and the cost of the options (breakfast, beverage service) are also shown as AUDnan although they've been set up correctly. Is the template and the template framework interfering with Solidres? I've tried setting up a fresh install of Joomla 3.8, with the default Joomla template, and couldn't get any room images to show at all. Can you please advise a template I can use to test? I have no wish to spend over $600 to buy the 4 different extensions just so I can discard 3 of them after my evaluation and just to get a template that works. Thanks for your advice.

The problem of displaying nan for room rate is solved. I did not set the exchange rate for the default currency. Still having compatibility problems with images displaying under each other for rooms even if Compatibility is set to YES, and the text in dropdown fields on booking form only showing top 20% of text (Is this a font problem?)

Please elaborate more about "Compatibility is set to YES", what is it?

About the drop down fields only show 20% of the text, it is your template issue, you should contact your template developer to fix it.

About the room type image issue, could you provide your website address?

Compatibility is Component/Solidres/Options/Component Set carousel compat = YES
According to your instructions this should fix pictures underneath each other problem. In any case, I now only have one room picture and this appears OK.
Thanks for the other answers, I will test Solidres font compatibility with other developer's templates.
