How to change reservation dates?

I am using the WordPress plugin and am experimenting with how to make modifications to reservations, and I am finding that when I "amend" a reservation, I am presented with dropdown calendar boxes for which to set the dates of the reservation, I change the checkout date to something other than overnight, and then when I press the "load available rooms" button, and select a new nightly rate, it returns a rate for only one night, and when I continue through and complete the steps of saving the amended reservation, the checkout date is not modified.

Is this a bug or is there a known reason for what might be causing this?
