I had the same isue, solved it after a reply on my support ticket by disabling sample pluging

What dose this sample plugin do? You also need to update your documentation- It is because I need to configure the Dashboard menu from the front end but it do not match with the documentation, so I just have to disabled the dashboard at this moment. I was going to create a ticket for it.
